Signe A. Dayhoff, Ph.D., M.A., M.Ed., is a social psychologist with post-graduate training in counseling, emotional intelligence, and positive psychology. She received her doctorate from Boston University where she studied ways to enhance personal organizational advancement through: (1) alleviating fears through removing limiting thoughts and beliefs, (2) elevating self-confidence and social skills, and (3) acting to overcome obstacles and meet challenges.
For 40 years she has been a Social-Effectiveness Coach, consultant, speaker, and author, specializing in developing breakthrough social effectiveness in personal life and business to break through to reinvent oneself to achieve one’s goals, empowerment, satisfaction, and fulfilment.

She has taught psychology, social psychology and organizational behavior at Boston University, University of Massachusetts, and Framingham State College. She also has done research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, and Fairview State Hospital.
Author of seventeen books, Including Decision Making For Managers, she has also contributed to David Riklan’s 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life (Vol. 2) and Steven J. Bennett’s Executive Chess: Creative Problem Solving By 45 of America’s Top Business Leaders and Thinkers.
She has over 2,515 published newspaper, magazine, ezine, online, and blog articles and has been quoted in publications including Psychology Today, Boston Business Journal, Shape, Industry Week, Wall Street Journal, Success, Cosmopolitan, Executive Travel, and Time Out New York.
For over four years she hosted and produced “The Inside Track,” the Continental Cablevision alternative-career education interview program for which she received a Conti Award nomination.

A feline applied-behaviorist, she is a “kitty mom” to special-needs and elderly rescued cats. She has also written and published five cat memoirs, of which three are about the wild-and-woolly exploits of “Faust the Dancing Cat,” Gene Kelly in a cat suit, and five cat novels.
